The church family of Shaqwan Tisdale and his 8-year-old daughter are grieving the loss of his wife and their two sons in a horrific crash on Route 1 in Lawrence on Friday night.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office says truck driver Richard Williams,45 of Brooklyn, was making an illegal U-turn on Route 1 southbound at Darrah Lane when a Chevrolet Tahoe carrying the Tisdale family to a Trenton church slammed into the tractor trailer.

Jamella Tisdale, 25, of Levittown, Pennsylvania along with her sons, nine-year-old Jaevon Durante and Jaden Tisdale, who was three and a half months old.were killed while Shaqwan, 25,and eight-year-old Mellady Durante remain in the hospital in stable condition

Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as factors in the crash Mercer County Prosecutor's Office First Assistant Prosecutor Angelo Onofri tell the Times of Trenton.  Williams, who was apparently unfamiliar with the area,  faces three counts of death by auto and is being held at the Mercer County House of Corrections on $100,000 bail. Williams was not injured in the crash.

The Tisdale family was on their way to the Lighthouse Outreach Ministry on Bellevue Avenue in Trenton for a concert to celebrate the release of Shaqwan's new CD. He is an author, gospel musician and life coach.

"They're just a happy family," Pastor Phillip Jackson of  Spotlight Deliverance Holy Temple Church in Bristol, Pennsylvania told WPVI. "You'll never get over it, but at least he'll be able to deal with it and accept what God allows," he said.

The church will do all they can to offer support to Shaqwan and his daughter. "We're praying for strength, and we're praying for peace and we're praying for comfort," said Jackson.
