Christie heads to Iowa next week to raise money for their GOP governor.

One backdrop of that trip is that Iowa just so happens to be the first primary for the presidential race, which Christie is long-rumored to enter as a candidate in 2016.

The stop will be one of many excursions that the governor has planned for in July and August.

Christie's heavy travel comes on the heels of a freshly-signed budget plan, and as he still tries to wipe the smell of scandal off his administration.
