Gov. Chris Christie has rescheduled his State of the State address for Tuesday, one week after postponing it because of the sudden death of a lawmaker at the Statehouse.

Assembly Republican leader Alex DeCroce collapsed just after 11 p.m. Monday as the Legislature was finishing its lame-duck session.

Christie remembered DeCroce, whom he had known for 20 years, the next day instead of giving the annual address.

The speech is now set to be delivered at 3 p.m. on Jan. 17.
