As we move past Christmas and closer to 2015, speculation is ramping up about whether Gov. Chris Christie will run for president.

Christie said last week that he planned to discuss the issue with his family during the holidays.

One veteran political insider believes that Christie has a real shot to win the GOP nomination, even despite major hurdles, such as Bridgegate.

Christie will also have to overcome very high unfavorable ratings among Republican voters nationwide.

Patrick Murray, Director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, believes Christie should avoid veering too much to the political right, though, because he has already built a brand as a problem-solver, who can reach across the aisle with either his hand or a hammer.
