LOS ANGELES — Gov. Chris Christie's infamous trip to the Jersey Shore in the midst of the state budget shutdown in July has received the Mad magazine treatment.

The photo of Christie sitting on a beach chair at Island Beach State Park during a state budget shutdown was launched into countless memes, a sand sculpture — and now has landed at No. 13 on the humor magazine's list of the “20 Dumbest People, Events and Things of 2017."

"Exhausted from defending your indefensible actions? Take a break at Scandals," reads an ad styled after an actual one for the resort Sandals.

In the magazine, which hits newsstands on Dec. 12, the governor is sitting in his beach chair.

"Enjoy the kind of privacy you can only get from closing down all state beaches! Soak up heat you haven't experienced since the early days of Bridgegate! Feel your stress level drop faster than your approval rating," the fake ad reads.

The Asbury Park Press was the first to post a picture of the flyer and the rest of the Mad list which included:
