Gov. Chris Christie is making an interesting pitch to Iowa voters.

He's telling them they can trust him because his poll numbers are horrible in New Jersey based mostly on how voters feel about Christie spending a lot of time away from the Garden State.

Christie said his low poll numbers are proof that he will make the tough choices as president.

He told voters he would not worry about his poll numbers as a result.

Christie has rocketed to second in New Hampshire but has a much tougher sell in Iowa where voters typically prefer far-right candidates.
