If Gov. Chris Christie is discouraged by the state of his presidential campaign, he wasn't letting it show with Jimmy Fallon last night.

Christie made his first appearance on "The Tonight Show" since announcing he was running for the GOP nomination.

He was funny and engaging and even lip-synced some Bruce Springsteen tunes.

Christie also said he might be far more aggressive in the second debate, telling Fallon he might "go nuclear" if he is pushed to the sidelines.

“Stay tuned on Sept. 16th,” Christie told Fallon, “We may be changing tactics. You know, if I get to like 15 questions in a row — count `em at home – if I get to 15 in a row (where he’s not called on), you’re going to go `Uh oh, he’s going to go nuclear now.’”
During the last debate on Aug. 6, 20 questions went by before Christie got a chance to speak.

The next debate is scheduled for Sept. 16 on CNN.
