The governor attended a ground breaking ceremony for a chemistry building on Rutgers University's Piscataway campus Monday.

The $115 million project is funded largely by a bond act that was approved by voters in 2012.

Last week, Christie helped launch a $6.7 million renovation of Essex County College's Martin Luther King Jr. Library that is being funded by the act.

Christie has been touring schools that are using the money to help fund projects. He said the investments will help ease overcrowding and improve access and the quality of education at schools across the state.
