Christie Heckled During Iowa Campaign Appearance [VIDEO]
Governor Chris Christie handled several hecklers with ease during a campaign stop in Iowa for Republican Mitt Romney, calling them "jokers" and telling them to "work it out for yourselves."
The protesters, who appeared to be connected to the Occupy Wall Steet movement, interrupted Christie's appearance at the headquarters of the convenience store chain Kum & Go in West Des Moines. They chanted "Chris Christie and Mitt Romney... serve the corporate one percent," and "Make Wall Street pay" and "Put people first."
Christie told the protesters, "You are so angry, aren't you?," he said. "It's so terrible... Oh, work it out. Work it all out for yourselves. Work it all out for yourselves." He then addressed the Romney supporters and told them, "You know what? We're used to dealing with jokers like this in New Jersey all the time."
As he left, Christie continued the one-liners. "Well, that was the entertainment we brought from New Jersey tonight... I hope you all enjoyed it. They'll be working at the Marriott down the street. Please remember to tip your waiters and waitresses, all right?"
"Now, where was I before I was so New Jers-ily interrupted?" he continued, to the crowd's laughter.
