Christie Has No Apologies For Keynote Address [VIDEO]

Governor Chris Christie has no apology for critics of his keynote address on Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention.

“This is really kind of silly stuff,” Christie told CNN’s Piers Morgan about critics who thought the speech was too much about launching his own run for the White House and not enough about Mitt Romney.

“I don’t know how people could be confused,” said Christie. “At the end of the day, what I was doing was building the case for Mitt Romney.”As for his belief in Mitt Romney’s ability to win, “I have traveled to 15 different states” to campaign for Romney.

He talked about he stood by Romney when Santorum surged in the polls at one point during the primaries and he is “proud” to have worked to help secure Romney’s nomination.

He also spoke highly of Congressman Paul Ryan during an appearance with Fox News’  Sean Hannity. “Paul Ryan stands for something,” Christie said. “It’s so great to have a ticket that stands for something.”
