According to a new poll of possible GOP candidates, Christie is in a strong second place behind Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AK). The two were the only candidates to record scores in the double digits, 13 and 11 percent, respectively.

The news is great for Christie since Iowa is the state that holds the first-in-the-nation primary, and it shows a further climb for him out of the Bridgegate mess.

However, if Mitt Romney decided to run again, he trumps the entire Republican field with 35 percent of the vote.
