On Tuesday, Gov. Chris Christie said a New York Times report, which stated he lost 85 pounds after Lap-Band surgery in 2013, 'wasn't accurate.'

NJ.com reports that Christie spoke about the issue during a campaign stop in Connecticut.

"I'm not going to tell you why it was inaccurate...because I don't talk about that stuff, and the reason I don't is that that's my business and nobody else's," he said.

The governor said he had the procedure done for his own health and his family, and that it's not about politics.

The New York Times reported that Christie told GOP donors last week he had shed 85 pounds, and that "he understood he had to slim down if he wanted to move beyond Trenton."
