Christie confirms ’85 pounds’ is wrong

The world may never know how much weight Gov. Chris Christie lost, or will end up losing, as a result of his Lap-Band surgery in 2013.

Responding once again to a New York Times report that Christie told GOP donors he had shed 85 pounds, Christie disputed the number and said whoever shared that information was making it up.

"The number's wrong," he said at a Wednesday press conference in Camden. "I don't tell numbers."

Christie confirmed, though, that he was discussing his health and surgery during a recent event in New York.

Christie told the media they won't get "the number" out of him.

"If anybody wants to know the number, the only other person they can get it out of is (First Lady) Mary Pat," Christie said. "Good luck to you. Go try to get it out of her."
