Christie celebrates birthday with Romney

Nothing says happy birthday like a pile of money, which is what Gov. Chris Christie will receive as he celebrates year 52 of his life tonight.

Christie's actual birthday was this past Saturday, but tonight he co-hosts a bash with former GOP presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.

The event is really just a political fundraiser for the New Jersey Republican Party. It's been sold-out for weeks with tickets going for up to $25,000.

Christie was an early and ardent supporter of Romney's run for White House, and with Romney's popularity at an all-time high, Christie is hoping he'll return the favor for his own potential presidential campaign.

Nearly 1,000 people are expected to attend the celebration this evening in East Brunswick.
