In a taped interview on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News, Christie called Obama "an abomination."

Christie didn't stop there. When host Bill O'Reilly asked the governor if he thought Obama was the worst president in American history, Christie told O'Reilly "he's getting there."

Christie was particularly harsh on Obama's foreign policy, pointing out issues with Iran and Syria.

Since the second GOP debate on Sept. 16, Christie has seen some upward momentum.  Two recent polls show the governor's support increasing in both New Hampshire and Iowa. The governor saw his numbers jump in Iowa from 2 to 4 percent support. In New Hampshire, Christie received 7 percent, a 2 percent increase.

Despite the poll increases, Christie told O'Reilly that more work needs to be done for him to gain more support.
