Congressman Randy Neugebauer, R-TX counts NJ Governor Chris Christie among the top three contenders for vice presidential candidacy while discussing Mitt Romney's potential running mates on News/Talk 790 KFYO's radio program in Lubbock Texas.

Also included in Neugebauer's  list is Florida State Sen. Marco Rubio and Virginia's Governor Bob McDonald.

"You know, I'm a big Christie fan as well," Neugebauer says,  "So those are three folks, you know, that I think would make a good VP."

Neugebauer adds, "We have to understand that we're picking the next in line to be president of the United States." He says that the person who's serving as the vice president should be able to act as an effective president should the need arise.
