Chris Christie Stumps For Candidates in New England
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie called on state voters to support Ovide LaMontagne in next month's gubernatorial election, and the New Hampshire GOP candidate fired up the crowd by saying that the states doing the best right now are those being led by Republican governors.
Christie followed a day of campaigning in Massachusetts for U.S. Sen. Scott Brown with an appearance Wednesday at a rally for LaMontagne. Former Republican New Hampshire governors John Sununu, Craig Benson, and Stephen Merrill also delivered remarks.
The famously outspoken New Jersey governor told the crowd of about 300 that his state has lived `the horror film" that they would experience if Democratic challenger Maggie Hassan was elected.
Christie delivered a long and impassioned plea for support and told the crowd they were part of a movement to change history in the state.
