Gov. Chris Christie says he was not involved in the decision to transfer 10 New Jersey state police commanders as the investigation into high-speed escorts of luxury sports cars continues.

Christie says he has full confidence in the head of the state police, Col. Rick Fuentes, and Attorney General Jeff Chiesa to get to the bottom of the escorts.

The governor told reporters again Monday that the escorts were "dumb." But he added that the situation would have been much more serious if someone had gotten hurt.

Two troopers have been suspended so far in the ongoing probe.

The investigation involves at least two instances where troopers escorted caravans of private luxury sports cars up and down busy toll roads at excessive speeds.
