Child injured in fall from second-story window

HARVEY CEDARS (AP) — Authorities say a child was hospitalized after falling out of a second-story window at a Jersey Shore home.

The fall occurred Saturday at a home in Harvey Cedars, a community on Long Beach Island. Authorities say the child was flown by helicopter to a hospital, but further details on the youth, his condition and injuries were not disclosed.

Harvey Cedars police tell the Asbury Park Press that the incident appears to have been an accident and no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing.

No further information has been released.
