How detailed is your inspection of a car before you buy it? A woman in Ohio found quite a surprise in a car she bought new in August. She had to have the spare tire put on at a service station and she, and the mechanics, heard a loud thumping noise as she drove away.

When they located the source of the thumping, it was a Deminski nightmare come true: $12,000 worth of marijuana was wrapped in plastic; that’s about eight pounds. Jeff has often worried about buying a used car and then getting stopped by police who find some contraband left by the previous owner; this poor woman bought her car new, and it still had drugs in it. She’s not facing any charges, but that’s because she found it herself; imagine if she had tried to cross a border and they found it; I doubt border/customs agents would believe her, at least at first.
