Operation Photo Rescue will be in Seaside Heights May 3-5. Each person may bring up to 20 photos for evaluations and potential restoration.

The charity restores pictures by taking a photo of the photo, then uploading it onto a computer. After being digitally retouched, the picture is printed and mailed to owners at no cost.

Photo Rescue restores photos discolored by floods and damaged by mold or debris.

Operation Photo Rescue was founded after Hurricane Katrina by a network of photographers, graphic artists and hobbyists who have repaired more than 9,000 pictures.

The group recently restored photos for those who were affected by Sandy in New York.
