BRANCHBURG — A ShopRite customer is about to get $1 million richer.

(Well, not accounting for taxes).

A Mega Millions lottery ticket sold at ShopRite No. #470 on Route 22 in Branchburg is worth $1 million, after matching the five white balls — 11, 50, 51, 70 and 75. The Mega Ball — which neither the New Jersey winner nor another in Oregon matched — was 15.

Neither winner spent the $1 extra for a Mega Play option that would have taken the tickets' value to $4 million/

Another, third-tier prizewinning ticket — matching four white balls and the Gold Mega Ball — and valued at $5,000 was sold at the Route 130 Deli in North Brunswick.

Lottery officials estimate a jackpot of $218 Million for Friday's drawing
