A high school transformed into a winter wonderland on just the second day of classes this school year, as part of a donation drive in honor and memory of a 13-year-old local girl whose brave fight against cancer and other health issues came to an end in January.
Saturday, Sept. 9 will be a special day at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, as it marks the 16th annual "Walk With Joe," a ceremony and 5K walk to remember a township icon and two other residents who died in the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.
For the last two years, the Atlantic City Rescue Mission has welcomed into its kitchen a group of culinary power players it calls its "Souper Chefs," who return each week to produce some 600 bowls of soup for the mission's clients.
