Frank Bank Dies – Played “Lumpy” on “Leave it to Beaver”

Frank Bank, who portrayed Clarence “Lumpy” Rutherford on the “Leave It To Beaver” TV show has died.  Bank passed away just one day after his 71st birthday from an undisclosed illness.

While Bank played a somewhat clumsy bully during the series’ entire run, Jerry Mathers who portrayed Beaver says he was a very kind and gentle person in real life

Tim Burden Named JCAA Sportsman of the Year

One of my best friends growing up in Union City was Tim Burden and this year he did the neighborhood proud by being named the Jersey Coast Anglers Association Sportsman of the Year! I find this odd because the only fishing he ever did on 17th street was for Spalding tennis balls that went down the sewer. That’s pronounced “spaldeen” for those of you not from Hudson County.
