Alan’s Weather Blog – 01/30/12

High temperatures over the weekend were near 50 degrees, or certainly, the upper 40s to near 50 on Saturday.  Sunday was as high as 48 in Atlantic City, 47 in Trenton, and 46 in Newark.  Again, the normal highs is 39 to 42, so we were above normal this weekend, although it might not have felt like it with enough wind to notice

Week-Old Dirty Snow. Good Riddance!

OK, so it snowed last Saturday the 21st.  After a few days, the nice, white snow starts looking a little...not so nice.

Some high temperatures were reached just before midnight.  Atlantic City's 54 was evidence of that.  But it barely reached at 40 at Newark Liberty Airport yesterday.  That's the normal high of 39, so it was close there

I was concerned about my high temperature forecast of 45 to 50 yesterday, but it worked out perfectly.

Atlantic City's 50 was testimony to that.

Today's temperatures will be in the mid 40s to a few low 50s with the chance of a few showers or some spotty light rain around, but otherwise, just mostly cloudy

Alan’s Weather Blog – 01/25/12

High temperatures yesterday reached as mild as 59 in Atlantic City.  That's 18 degrees above the normal high temperature of 41.  We have been above normal for the months of November, December, and January thus far

Alan’s Weather Blog – 01/24/12

High temperatures yesterday reached the mid to upper 50s late last night with generally a quarter inch or less of rain that we had.

But sunshine returns today with clouds departing.  We expect highs in the mild lower 50s

The weekend forecast worked out reasonably well.  The snow tapered off and ended during the course of Saturday afternoon. It produced 4 to 6 inches north of Rt. 78.  We had at least a couple of inches in Central Jersey

Alan’s Weather Blog – 01/20/12

High temperatures yesterday reached the upper 30s to just over 40.  It was 41 in Atlantic City, but everyone else was 36 to 38.

Today, with some sunshine, a few highs will be up in the upper 30s.  The normal high is around 39 or 41, so we will be very close to that today

Alan’s Weather Blog – 01/19/12

High temperatures Wednesday reached the low 40s, as expected.

And today, temperatures will be in the upper 30s to around 40 with some sunshine and arriving afternoon clouds.  That will set the stage for, at least, the chance of some passing snow showers possible overnight tonight

Alan’s Weather Blog – 01/18/12

Tuesday's high temperatures were reached just before midnight tonight; 58 in Atlantic City, 53 in Newark, 54 in Wrightstown, Burlington County, and 56 in Trenton.  It was incredibly mild.

Well, it'll be windy and turning colder today with patchy clouds and sunshine
