Sunny and Pleasant: Alan’s Weather Blog

High temperatures yesterday didn't get past the middle 70s.

Newark-Liberty Airport's 76 was the topper.  The normal high is 84 or 85, so we were way below that.  It like September, didn't it?

Today is going to be another day where it's not going to get out of the 70s, despite lots of sunshine and very low humidity once again

More Sunshine Today: Alan’s Weather Blog

There's lots to tell you about, so let's get right to it.

The biggest story of yesterday's weather was the F-0 tornado, which has winds from 65 to 85 miles per hour, that carved a path about two miles long and 50 to 100 yards wide in Manahawkin

Heavy Rain Today: Alan’s Weather Blog

A flash flood watch is in effect for much of New Jersey for much of the day.

The only exceptions to that are the southern half Burlington County, all of Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland Counties

Showers Possible Today: Alan’s Weather Blog

The weekend forecast turned out reasonably well.

There were some clouds around for a while on Saturday, but then the sun came out later in the day.

Sunny and Pleasant: Alan’s Weather Blog

The weekend worked out about as expected.

We had a scattering of showers around Saturday, not everywhere.  And certainly south of Route 78, there wasn't much in the afternoon on Saturday.

Sunday was spectacular everywhere with highs in the upper 70s; 79 in Trenton and Wrightstown, 82 in Atlantic City and Newark

Somewhat Less Humid: Alan’s Weather Blog

High temperatures yesterday did not get warmer than the low to middle 70s, pretty much as we expected.

There was between 3/4 inch and an inch of rain, maybe locally higher amounts in some spots.

Today, there's just the chance of a late shower in NW Jersey

When Will the Rain Stop?: Alan’s Weather Blog

High temperatures yesterday reached no higher than 83 in Atlantic City, so my low to perhaps mid 80's didn't work out very well, although the low 80's was certainly within reason.

A normal high by the way is 85 or 86 degrees
