Last spring my sons Albert and Lennon brought home some seeds from their Roosevelt school garden club. Not knowing what they were or what to do with them, I'm figuring we'll plant them near the patio and that will be that. Nothing I ever brought home ever grew into anything. Boy was I wrong!

A couple of weeks ago, I notice what I thought was a giant weed that my gardener kept missing. When I pointed it out to him, he pointed out to me that it was not a weed but a pumpkin which has swallowed my patio and is advancing toward my house. Hopefully by the time it gets there, we'll have soup and pie for everyone!
