Camden Woman Died From Blunt Trauma, Autopsy Shows

Authorities say a woman found dead inside her Camden home this week died from blunt head and neck trauma.

Camden County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Jason Laughlin disclosed the autopsy results Tuesday, but said no further information was available on the death of 49-year-old Alma Brito.

Brito's body was found around 11 a.m. Monday by a relative who had gone to her Hartford Road home in the city's Fairview section.

County Prosecutor Warren Faulk has said it appeared that Brito had been dead "for some time" when she was found, but he would not disclose further details.

The death is being investigated as a homicide. No arrests have been made in the case.
