Martha Ruiz of the 3000-block of Cramer Avenue, was charged with creating a false public alarm in connection with the email.

On Wednesday at approximately 9:08 a.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department received a call from the Camden County College Public Safety Department stating that a threat was made to the school, Gloucester police said in a press release.

Police responded to the college and were informed that an email was sent from a computer located in the Cyber Café at the college. The computer, police said, was accessible to the public.

"The email was sent to the vice dean of the Camden County College. The contents of the email stated 'THERE IS A THREAT COMING TO THIS CAMPUS TOMORROW AT 130 PM!.' Officers from the Gloucester Townships Police Department and the Camden County College Public Safety Department quickly developed a suspect," the press release states.

As part of their investigation, police went to the suspect's home.

"It was determined that the suspect wanted to disrupt the school day because she was disgruntled with the college administration. At this time, the threat was deemed to be non credible," the press release states.

Ruiz faces a third degree false public alarm charge. She was taken into custody and later released pending a future court date.
