Every week we honor a police officer for our #BlueFriday initiative, to thank them for going above and beyond the call of duty.

This week, we invited our #BlueFriday honorees in studio for a very special interview and to thank them personally.

This week's honorees were a very special duo from the Camden police force. They are a mother daughter team that protect the streets of Camden together. Lt. Linda Alicea and Officer Cynthia Melendez joined me live in studio to talk about what it is like to be officers in Camden and to be a mother daughter team.

In this first clip, Lt. Alicea tells us one her most frightening times since she has been on the Camden police force.

Ever wonder what it would like to work with your parent or your child? What if it was as police officers? Lt. Alicea answers a question from a caller about what it is like to have your daughter as a partner.

As I've talked about on the show many times, police officers have seconds to make major decisions. It i not an easy task. Officer Melendez explains one of the situations she was in when she responded to a call and the judgements that she had to make it in a very short amount of time.
