The counts against 25-year-old Michael McNeil were handed up this week by a Camden County grand jury.

McNeil is charged in the September 2011 slayings of 27-year-old Taurean Gilmore and 34-year-old Husani Boone. Boone was pronounced dead at the scene, while Gilmore died a short time later at a nearby hospital.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shootings, but have said a witness reported seeing McNeil approach the car the men were in and fire "multiple shots" into the vehicle. Investigators recovered a .32-caliber handgun at the scene.
