Prosecutors say a southern New Jersey man accused of killing a 6-year-old boy and critically wounding the youth's 12-year-old sister while high on PCP-laced marijuana has been indicted on felony murder charges.

Osvaldo Rivera of Camden faces numerous other counts in the indictment made public Wednesday, including attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment.

Camden County authorities have said the 32-year-old Rivera was attempting to sexually assault the boy's sister when the boy intervened in a bid to protect his sister. He allegedly slashed the throats of both children, but the girl was able to escape the house and run to a neighbor's home.

Two other girls, ages 9 and 14, were inside the home when the attack occurred, but they were not injured.
