Camden Man Gunned Down on City Street

Prosecutors in southern New Jersey say an 18-year-old Camden man has died after he was gunned down on a city street.

But it’s not yet clear what caused the shooting of 18-year-old Stephen Thomas on Tuesday night.

Camden County prosecutors say Thomas was shot “multiple times” in the area of 35th Street and Rosedale Avenue. City police responding to reports of shots fired found him in the street around 8:20 p.m., but he died a short time later at a hospital.

Further details on the shooting, including what type of weapon may have been used, were not disclosed.
