Major traffic backups, standstills and accidents due to heavy amounts of snow and ice characterize New Jersey roads this morning, according to callers. Drivers haven't stopped flooding our phone lines with complaints, highlighting the worst road conditions between Garden State Parkway exits 109 and 117.

Rumors of salt shortages throughout Monmouth County and the surrounding area are being reported among plow drivers, although no official statement has been made by the state.

Check out listener submitted pictures and video of major roadways below. Fortunately for those on Rt. 295, plow trucks appear to be dumping salt near exit 32.
