The bus, registered to Go Tours, was carrying four passengers and the driver when it overturned onto the median, heading east near Exit 4 for Eisenhower Parkway, around 5:30 a.m., according to State Police spokesman Trooper Alejandro Goez.

The two injured passengers were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Video from ABC7 Eyewitness News showed the bus had fallen on top of a metal guardrail down the center of the median.

Goez said the incident remains under investigation and it's not yet clear what caused the bus to overturn.

The left lane was closed on the eastbound side, creating a multi-mile delay as of 7:25 a.m. with rubbernecking delays heading west.
