A Wallington bus driver has been charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female in Paramus.

Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli in a statement said Frank M. Lantigua was charged with one count of second-degree assault and is being held on $150,000 bail.

The assault took place on Tuesday and was reported to Paramus Police, authorities said. The arrest was made on Wednesday.

It wasn't clear for what company or entity Lantigua worked. The prosecutor's office, contacted by New Jersey 101.5, said it does not release employer information. A call to the Paramus School District seeking information on whether Lantigua worked for the district has not yet been returned.

No other details were released by Molinelli about the incident.
