MILLVILLE — A brutal beating on a South Jersey street caught on video was done for entertainment, residents say.

Millville Police spokesman Lt. Ross Hoffman told New Jersey 101.5 that four people so far have been arrested in connection with the fight, which took place last Wednesday around 7 p.m. on Third Street and which was originally posted on Facebook.

"We're actively trying to identify additional people we're charging," Hoffman said.

Hoffman said that Lashanta McCrae, 34, Mlv Frain, 21, Keyona Frain, 21, were all charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct with police looking for two other suspects.

The video, also posted by 6 ABC Action News, shows a woman in the middle of the street repeatedly punched, kicked and dragged by several men and women before getting up on her own. Hoffman said that the 30-year-old woman's right eye was swollen shut and have severe swelling.

The posted video doesn't show what led to the fight but Hoffman said that police had responded several times to reports of fights and disorderly conduct several times earlier in the afternoon.

Residents said that fights on the street are commonplace and are entertainment, and said the neighborhood is out of control, according to the report. One neighbor in the report called it "baby Brooklyn."

Hoffman asked that anyone has information about the recorded fight to contact police at 856-825-7010.
