Hoping to score tickets to see Bruce Springsteen's "The River"-themed concerts when they go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.?

You and everyone else.

For one thing, you can't get tickets early — at least not easily. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman sent letters to TicketNetwork, Stubhub and Vivid Seats asking them to take down offers of tickets to the shows until they go on sale formally. Some were listed for thousands of dollars.

Among the tickets on sale Friday will be Jan. 24 and 27 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Jan. 31 at Newark's Prudential Center in Newark and and Feb. 12 show at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Tickets will be available at ticketmaster.com — but expect a lot of fast-fingered competition — and by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or Ticketmaster Express at 866-448-7849. Prices range from $68 to $150 for the Prudential Center show, and $73 to $155 for the Madison Square Garden show, according to multiple reports. There's a four-ticket limit for general admission, and an eight-ticket limit for other sections.

Each concert from the tour will be available as a downloads or CDs via Live.BruceSpringsteen.net within days of the performance.

The tour was announcement as part of the recent release of Springsteen's "The Ties That Bind: The River Collection," a box set that includes 52 tracks on four CDs, unreleased material, four hours of never-before-seen video on three DVDs, the original "The River" double album, a brand-new documentary about "The River," and a coffee-table book of 200 rare or previously unseen photos and memorabilia.

"This will be the second time that Bruce & The E Street Band rock The Rock so to speak," said Tom Cunningham, host of the Bruce Brunch on 105.7 The Hawk. "The first time was in 2012, as they concluded the first leg of the 'Wrecking Ball' tour there on May 2. Later that year, Bruce joined The Rolling Stones on that same stage. It's the only Jersey stop on the tour and will prove to be a tough ticket."

Springsteen is scheduled to host NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on Dec. 19.
