State police say 11-year-old Alexander Harriman died Wednesday afternoon at a hospital where he had been treated since the Nov. 20 shooting. NJSP tweeted the news of the child's death at about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities have said 44-year-old Jeannine LePage committed the shootings at the family's home in Tabernacle, a town in the Pinelands that's 30 miles east of Philadelphia.

Police have not said what may have prompted LePage to shoot her children, saying it was a mystery that may never be solved. LePage died Nov. 23 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, three days after the shootings.
