Jasper, Bowser, Clutch, Pretty Boy and Tomo need forever homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League, Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) and Imagine Pet Rescue to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Jasper

Jasper is a handsome cat with a playful personality. He was abandoned by his owner and was found by one of our volunteers. Jasper was very sick when he came to the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter, but he has been nursed back to health. He is now a healthy, strong and gorgeous young boy who loves to chase toys and to be petted. He would do best in a home with adults and older children. He is neutered, FIV and FeLv negative and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Jasper is currently at the shelter’s PetSmart location on Rt. 27 in Edison.

Adopt Bowser

Bowser is a beautiful Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull mix. He's super friendly and very intelligent. Bowser is a quick learner and he's very eager to please. He loves playing with toys, and enjoys a good game of fetch followed by quiet time in his crate with a good bone! Bowser would love a big yard with lots of people to play with. He walks nicely on a leash with a reminder every now and then to stay on the left side.

Adopt Clutch

Clutch is a striking black and white 2-year-old Pit Bull mix who looks like he might have a little American Bulldog mix in him too. He came to the shelter with his housemate named Jersey who was recently adopted. Since he lived with a dog in the past, he might do well living with another dog, but he would be just as happy as the only pet so he can get all the attention he deserves. Clutch has a very calm and peaceful demeanor. He’s simply an all-around good dog!

Adopt Pretty Boy

Pretty boy is an older guy in need of a new, forever home that will give him lots of love! He is a bit timid at first, but warms up after he gets to know you. Pretty boy would do best in a quiet home where he can get all the love and relaxing he needs.

Adopt Tomo

Tomo is a 1-year-old Balbari from Korea. He was saved from the meat markets of Korea where the Balbari breed is frequently used as a food source. He weighs about 12 pounds and isn't expected to get any bigger. Tomo loves toys, especially rope tug toys. He also loves to give kisses and can't pass up a good belly rub. Tomo gets along with both dogs and cats. He is neutered and up-to-date on all his shots.
