The Press of Atlantic City reports Tom Ballance will oversee the seven-member board of directors for the Atlantic City Alliance, the marketing arm for the city's casinos. He will remain in his fulltime job at Borgata, where he also serves as chief operating officer.

He replaces Don Marrandino, who stepped down when he left Caesars Entertainment Corp. last month.

The nonprofit alliance receives $30 million in funding each year from the city's casinos. It made a splash last year with its "Do AC" advertising campaign, which focused intently on non-gambling activities — such as fine dining, top entertainment, spas and shopping — available to resort visitors.
