New Jersey's United States senators took part in their party's through-the-night speech marathons opposed to some of President Donald Trump's Cabinet nominations.

The speeches aren't filibusters so could only slow, but not stop, the nominations. Video of U.S. Sen. Cory Booker's speech opposed to Sen. Jeff Sessions as the pick for attorney general is available in two parts via his Facebook page: Here's a link.

Earlier in the week, Booker similarly spoke against the nomination of Betsy De Vos as secretary of the Department of Education. She was approved 51-50, with Vice President Mike Pence casting the tie-breaking vote.

Here's the video from Sen. Robert Menendez speaking against De Vos' nomination.

Menendez, like nearly all Democratic senators, is voting against Sessions, as well. Here's a link to his explanation.
