The debate will be recorded today for playback on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. on New York's WABC TV and Philadelphia's WPVI TV.

A live video stream of the debate as it's recorded on Friday will also be available.

The debate comes as polls show Booker's lead over Steve Lonegan is shrinking. The latest Quinnipiac University poll has the mayor of Newark leading Lonegan  by just 12 points. Over the summer, Booker had a 16 point lead over Lonegan, a conservative who led the New Jersey chapter of Americans For Prosperity.

This past week Lonegan received the endorsement of Texas Governor Rick Perry and Sarah Palin. Vice President Joe Biden will campaign for Booker on October 11.
