This story just to cheer you up.  In Camden yesterday, Nicodemo S Scarfo, son of the former head of the Philadelphia-South Jersey Mob, appeared in court on Federal charges that he and racketeering homies had looted a Texas Mortgage company of some $12 million dollars.  He was represented by the Publlic Defender and requested a court-appointed, taxpayer paid defender because he can't afford  lawyer.

This in spite of the fact that he is reported to have bought, among other luxuries, an $800 thousand dollar yacht with the stolen money. So he can loll about on his yacht while on bail and the public gets to pay the bill for his legal defense. Cheers!
