The FAA says United Airlines Flight 125 landed safely at 2:10 p.m. Thursday at Newark Liberty International Airport outside New York City.

In April, the government told airlines they could begin flying Boeing 787s as soon as they revamped their problematic battery systems. The planes had been grounded for three months.

The FAA says it will look into the incident.
