ATLANTIC CITY — Almost a week after two teens were reported drowned near the Kentucky Avenue beach, the second victim's body has been located.

The Atlantic City Police Department announced that the body of Ramon Quinn, 15, from Pleasantville, was found by a woman walking on the beach. Quinn's body was found three days after 16-year-old Kaliya Hand's body was recovered Monday at Jefferson Avenue in Margate.

The drowning of the two teens in Atlantic City was part of a weekend of tragedies on the shore, with two young swimmers also drowning in the waters off of Belmar. A fifth teen drowned Wednesday afternoon in Hamilton.

Police say Quinn lost his life attempting to save Hand's.

On the night of June 15, Quinn and Hand were part of a group of people in the ocean. Hand was coming back from the water when she was caught in a strong rip current. Quinn had tried to help his friend, but both were pulled further into the water by the current and witnesses reported seeing them pulled under near a jetty.

First responders arrived in less than two minutes and immediately starting a search with the help of a helicopter, the Coast Guard, State Police and the Brigantine Dive Team.
