The Press of Atlantic City reports a boater discovered the body floating in the water south of the Ocean City-Longport Bridge early Thursday afternoon.

Police and the Cape May County prosecutor's office are investigating.

The Press reports 14-year-old Corinthian Hammond of Philadelphia was swimming near the 9th Street Beach on Sunday with several other youths when he was pulled into deep water by a rip current. The other swimmers made it safely to shore.

Two Coast Guard boats and a helicopter were involved in the search, along with crews from the state police's marine unit and the Ocean City Fire Department.
