Body Found In Maple Shade Lake

A body was found floating in Steinhauer Pond on Thursday morning in Maple Shade.

A passer-by noticed a body floating at pond in Maple Shade near the intersection of West Main Street and South Coles Road around 6:45AM and called police.

Lt. Jeffrey Hoch of Maple Shade Police says  all they know is that the person was wearing sneakers and was fully clothed.  No age or gender has been determined

A State Police Marine Unit is removing the body from the pond.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office  is investigating as well.
