Body cameras coming to Rutgers police
The police department at Rutgers University is joining a growing list of police departments across New Jersey to employ body cameras.
According to NBC 4, the cameras are being tested now and will be in use by the time students return for the fall semester.
The cameras will be used by campus police at the university's locations in Camden, Piscataway, New Brunswick and Newark, according to NBC 4.
In 2015, Rowan University became the first college in the state to use police cameras.
