NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Blanca is a very friendly American Staffordshire terrier mix.  She was found wandering in Somerset and brought to the Ewing Animal Shelter.  We think she's deaf and can be reactive to other dogs at times.  She's in weekly training classes and is doing very well.

If you’re interested in learning more about Blanca or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Dingo

Dingo is a sweet, old soul who was left at the shelter by a man who said he found him in a parking lot. No doubt he was left because of the large mass on the side of his body. But not to worry, we had several doctors look at him and agree that taking the fatty tumor off would do more harm than good for Dingo. So as long as Dingo doesn't mind, and he doesn't, we are going to leave the mass alone. Dingo likes to go for short walks and just chill in the grass.

If you're interested in meeting Dingo or fostering/adopting him, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Genevieve loves to be pet and will purr her thanks!  She's currently in a foster office and spends her time sitting on desks waiting for attention. Genevieve is very playful and loves treats.
